Bailey's Mardi Gras

My neighbor, Maria, went down to Louisiana the weekend before Mardi Gras. She brought us back some really delicious King Cake and brought Bailey some Mardi Gras beads. Bailey had so much fun playing with the beads the other day. She kept putting them on, taking them off, putting them on Daddy, etc.

I took a video of her playing with these beads. I haven't ever seen her so interested in one thing for this long. The video is long so I will have to edit it a bit before I post it.

Bailey Walking

She's really walking!!

Quote sent from a friend

A friend of mine had this quote in an email I got from her recently. It really struck me so I thought I would pass it on. It is from an Army poster.

"People sleep peaceably in their beds at night only because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf"
-- George Orwell

Bailey Turns 1 and keeps Truitt in line!

Rock on Bailey!!!

Maria, Brian and Meghan came over to help us celebrate Bailey's first birthday! I got lots of great pictures of her eating cookies and cake that I can't wait to scrapbook!

We also had Truitt's birthday party with his friends! They had a blast playing Rock Band in the basement. His girlfriend Sarah ROCKS!!

Lots of great pics to scrapbook here as well. I can't wait to put those cook DCWV Rosk Star papers to good use!

Happy New Year!

I hope everyone had a wonderful new year's eve and that the year is off to a great start! I am busy planning my classes for the year. If you have any ideas, please share!

I had a wonderful Christmas with my family! Bailey and Truitt really racked up on the gifts. I can't wait to scrap all of the pictures that took!

I have been busy sending Thank You and Birthday cards to our troops. I can't tell you how excited I was when I got home from Memphis to find 3 cards in the mail from a few of the soldiers that I sent Christmas cards to. It is really exciting to hear back from them!
